Winnie Cooper turns 50 today. Once you shake off the initial shock of how long ago that mathematically means ABC\u2019s The Wonder Years<\/em> aired, it\u2019s time to take in Danica McKellar\u2019s straight-from-the-heart \u201csecrets to youth.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As posted on Instagram via a makeup-free selfie<\/a> on her 48th birthday two years back, the beloved actress shared, “If there’s any secret I’ve found to youth, it’s in the attitude\u2026and a healthy<\/a>, clean lifestyle, of course.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Our minds and bodies<\/a> are inextricably connected. I\u2019ve found when I eat well and get enough rest and exercise, I have so much more access to that inner joy that makes life fun! And when I discipline myself to see good (and laugh at the absurdities) in the world, resisting the seduction of outrage addiction, I find I\u2019m more likely to stay in gratitude and make healthy choices\u2026like going to bed early instead of staying up late to scroll through\u2026all the things there are to be outraged over.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

McKellar, who lives in Tennessee, also offered another secret to life: \u201cTaking all that gratitude and giving back to the world in as many ways as I can.\u201d <\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cMy grandmother always said: \u2018The way to be happy is to make other people happy.\u2019 Spread it around.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

One other item the actress has in her toolbox: A little Laura Geller Beauty<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“Just tried their Blush-n-Brighten Marbleized Blush<\/a>, and it\u2019s already a new favorite,” McKellar shared in a paid partnership. “I love how it gives me a lifted, youthful glow.
